JAPANESE DESCENDANTS

FROM EARLY FORAGERS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF JAPAN

How did we get here? Where are we from? What were our ancestors like and how did they live?

As archeologist unearth the past and historians connect the pieces, fascinating discoveries continue to enrich our understanding of our ancestors. On the island country Japan, there is much to uncover how an isolated group of people built themselves together on their little place on Earth.

This site will provide an in depth description of ancient Japan from 2.6 million years ago before it was an archipelago, to 669 CE when the country was officially renamed to what it is known as today. It will cover how Japanese ancestors lived and developed from early foragers, the Jomon, to the Yayoi people.
